Come and join us to sing the choruses from Handel’s Messiah on Saturday 20 April 2024.

Singers’ warm up and rehearsal will start at 4:00 pm and the performance will begin at 5:30 pm. The evening will conclude with a drinks reception starting at about 6:45 pm. Everyone is welcome, whether to sing or to listen. Tickets are £5 (£2 for those under 18 years old) and are available in advance or (for non-singers) on the door.

Singers are asked to enrol in advance by completing the application form, available here in Word or PDF. Either complete the form in Word and return it to musicdirector.stjames@gmail.com, having made payment by electronic bank transfer as described on the application form, or print off the PDF document and send it completed with a cheque by post to St James Church, Wulfstan Way, Cambridge CB1 8QJ.

We will be using the vocal score edited by Watkins Shaw and published by Novello. The vocal score edited by Ebenezer Prout and published by Novello would also be suitable. We will have a number of copies of the score available but it would be helpful if you have your own score. Please let us know on the application form whether or not you need us to provide a score for you.
