Children

We welcome families with children  and young people of all ages to be part of our community and enjoy worshiping with us. We cater for them in many ways and have a dedicated children’s area in Church. There are activities for primary school age children every Sunday as part of our main worship at 10am

On the first Sunday of each month we have All-age Worship, a service in which children and young people are at the centre of our worship and take part.

We often have Activity Mornings,  for example: to prepare for Christmas and on Good Friday to prepare for Easter.  These are suitable for children 11 years old and under.

Music plays an important part in life at St James.  The Junior Choir welcomes children from the age of 8, the only requirement being commitment and the desire to sing.  Children who enjoy playing musical instruments are also welcome to join the Music Group

You are welcome to just come along on a Sunday morning or come to one of the activity mornings and we would be delighted to see you

We cater for  Admission to Holy Communion and Confirmation and Baptisms or Thanksgiving for the birth of children.

If you would like further information please do contact our Vicar, Steve Rothwell, who will be happy to hear from you.
