PCC

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) act as trustees for the church, with the aim of “promoting in the parish the whole mission of the Church”. Any member of the congregation who is on the electoral roll can stand for election to the PCC at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM). Ordinary members of the PCC usually serve for a term of three years at St James’.

Specific officers on the PCC include the Secretary, Treasurer and two Churchwardens, as well as the Priest-in-Charge who chairs the PCC. More information about the legal basis of a Church of England PCC can be found here.
